I’m taking on the NYC marathon this year to raise money for the Hepatitis B Foundation. I’m so grateful to have access to amazing medical care to help me manage this disease, but I realize that not everyone is so lucky. My goal is to raise money to help improve access to testing, treatment, and linkage to care.
I am also deeply concerned about the recent cuts to public health initiatives and research grants that are essential to the development of new drugs that could help cure hepatitis B, and I want to do whatever I can to help. The link to my fundraising page is attached in case anyone wants to support me on this journey
Hey y’all, it’s July, which means that we’re 4 months out from marathon day, and training is officially underway! If you’ve donated already, THANK YOU. I truly appreciate it. If not, there’s still plenty of time to make a contribution. Donations can be made at https://fundraisers.nyrr.org/emma-thomson

Thanks for the support. We have some donation links in the “Golden Rules” thread:
There is absolutely no obligation to donate, but we definitely appreciate anything that can be used to support our continued outreach and support of the affected community.
@ThomasTu Thank you!! I donated! BTW, people outside of Australia can still donate to Hep B Voices, as all payments are processed through PayPal, and they accept all major credit cards. There’s just no tax credit unless you file taxes in Australia, and there may be a currency exchange markup.
@ThomasTu thank you for the Golden Rules link this community worths a lot and without it we couldn’t get real help from amazing experts and experienced people. Now how can we donate outside Australia and te US? (International members).
