What happens when you stop interferon

I had last injection of interferon 10 days ago, but i am feeling nervous, shaky and tired.

Don’t know why.

I have been on anti-depressant for 14 years, i know interferon cause nervousness but stopping interferon?

@availlant please advise of any symptoms of stopping interferon

So was your last injection the completion of 48 weeks of therapy?

Effects on anxiety can occur when taking pegIFN, and feeling shaky and tired is not uncommon.

I would be patient as these symptoms will most likely improve in the weeks to come,

What was your HBSAg response to the 48 weeks of interferon?

They never tested quantitative HBsAg, they only tested positive / negative and its still positive. Main reason they gave me interferon was Hepatitis D so they focused on that rather than HBsAg

Ah okay, that makes sense. How are your HDV RNA results? Hopefully it helped with that?

yes with the Grace of God my HDV RNA went to zero and after 2-3 years its still below quantifiable level (means its less than 20)
