VH2024: Abstract & Scholarship Opportunities

Opportunities to share your work and scholarships are now available for the 14th Australasian Viral Hepatitis Conference. This year, the theme is: Strength in Unity.

Let’s unite to harness the strength of community, honour and celebrate our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workforce and forge partnerships for change.

As well as the regular abstract submission process, there are a number of new opportunities for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workforce to attend and take part in the conference, including:

  • Storytelling sessions, where you can present for up to five minutes, with no need for a presentation or any other materials. This is designed to be an informal way to share your work – with preference given to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and community voices.
  • Tabletop presentations, where you can present an idea, project, or story to a small group of ten people, to workshop new ideas and possible solutions alongside a dedicated facilitator.
  • Scholarships, with categories for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers or people with lived experienced of hepatitis B and/or C.
  • There is a 50% registration discount for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and free registration to Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Health Workers who have an abstract accepted into the program.

Find out more about submitting your work to the conference here, or about the scholarships available here. Abstract submissions and scholarship applications close on 24 March, so get in quick.
