Tenofovir and post exposure prophylaxis for hiv

Good day guys. I need opinion. I am currently on tenofovir 25mg for hbv treatment. I had an sexual exposure and I am to start PEP for HIV. Do I have to stop taking the tenofovir as tenofovir is also in the pep combination? Thanks

Hi @Tsbs,

I would have thought that you should only be on one source of Tenofovir at a time, but you should talk to your doctor before making any changes in your medication.
