Successful initiative to share! the PAST Project in Australia

Very happy to share the PAST Project, a remarkable initiative has made a terrific impact on hepatitis B diagnosis and linkage to care — especially within Aboriginal communities across the Northern Territory, one of the regions originally most affected in Australia.

Through a culturally informed approach and accessible communication, including multilingual resources in Aboriginal languages, the project has helped the Northern Territory become the only state in Australia to achieve the National Hepatitis B Strategy target, with an outstanding 99% of people diagnosed.

What a great outcome.

Very encouraging news for Australia and the HepB community.

Completely agree, @Caraline. I’m currently working with this group to expand the program further so that more people can get the care that they need! I hope to see this concept rolling out across Australia and hopefully the world!
