Stima is where other people discriminate you on the ground of who you are, where you come from, what you have,or what you do not have. The biggest part is on how you deal with it or how it makes you feel.
For anybody dealing with stigma, she/he should first appreciate that you cannot control what people say or think about you. You can try but you may never eliminate it completely.
The secret is to be on top of your life. Be positive about yourself and let it be. You are the driver of your own feelings. Chose not to be brought down by others. Anything negative that comes your way,must be met by a positive you. Give it a positive meaning. Be assertive and learn from it so that you may not also discriminate those who are different from you.
If discrimination affects your career, sorry about it, but one of the most effective ways of dealing with stress is changing the environment. Chose to stay with people who are positive about you if you cannot gain acceptance from your current acquaintances.
