Someone touched the surface of the water closet seat that someone with hep b had used earlier… assuming the hepb individual peed on the toilet seat… is there any possibility of transmission? this is bugging me… @ThomasTu @john.tavis @Bansah1
A splash of urine on a toilet seat is not a source of HBV transmission. Becuse there should be zero blood in your urine. If there’s blood in your urine please seek medical help. Hand hygiene is always recommended when one uses the bathroom. Remember HBV is a blood-borne virus meaning it’s transmitted through blood. Bansah1.

There is essentially zero risk of transmission from this route. @Bansah1 has it exactly right.
