New paper: Best practices for engaging with affected communities

Hi all,

I wanted to celebrate our most recent paper from HepBcommunity.org, Hepatitis B voices Australia, Hepatitis B foundation, and many other international partners (many of whom are on this forum: @Nafisa.Yussf @lien.tran @kimbopumpkin @Suwang88 @adimondel @Jacki @Wendy_YK_Lo @Bansah1 @Kabagambe @Supa @YellowWarriorsPH @FionaBJenkins @Yasmin @beatrice.zovich @chari.cohen).

Open access link below.

This is essentially a guide designed to inform @ScienceExperts, @HealthExperts, industry partners, decision makers, public health and other people in the professional sector about how best to reach out and get input from the affected community. It is also helpful for people who are in the community to know how they should be treated as a minimum.

As most of the authors are accessible here, we’re happy to answer any questions or discuss anything about the paper here.

Cheers,
Thomas

The University of Edinburgh is a charitable body, registered in Scotland, with registration number SC005336. Is e buidheann carthannais a th’ ann an Oilthigh Dhùn Èideann, clàraichte an Alba, àireamh clàraidh SC005336.

Thanks for sharing @Julie! The broader knowledge about these aspects, the more we can involve the affected community in important work, the more effective our public health response can be!

Cheers,
Thomas
