Hi @HepWarrier ,

I agree with your doctor’s recommendation to start treatment. Your ALT is persistently elevated, and your viral load is higher than what is typical for an HBeAg negative patient. The drugs are very safe and highly effective. I am personally grateful that I was able to get on treatment, and I know a lot of other people on this forum feel similarly.

Thanks for your experienced advice.

Hi @HepWarrier,
I agree with @et5656 assessment and recommendation here based on your results. These medications will help slow disease progression, reduce the viral load, normalize ALT/AST levels, and give your liver a break from all the inflammation caused by the virus.

I don’t think you need another consultation. Starting treatment was the best decision I made for my liver, 11 years and counting. These pills are easy to take, and most patients tolerate them well. However, if you develop side effects, it can be switched to another antiviral.

Best, and keep us posted. Bansah1

Definitely start treatment @HepWarrier.
Your numbers are in the range to start treatment.
The sooner the better. Ive been on treatment many years.
One pill a day. Easy. No noticeable side effects.
Keep us update. It’ll be interesting to see how fast your results come down.
As @Bansah1 has mentioned, no need to see another doctor. Just make sure you return, when the doctor said, to check treatment is working.
