saya umur 27 tahun ,minum obat tdf sejak 6 bulan usia kehamilan karena hbeag+ sampai skrng anak saya umur 11 bulan sekarang , sekarang libur minum obat 2 minggu karena ketersedian obat, apa dampak nya jika saya tidak minum obat selama 2 minggu ??

It is difficult to say, but it is never recommended to miss them at all. A day here or there is fine, but two weeks seems a lot. I can’t say what will happen, but I know it is never advisable to go that long without the antivirals. Is it possible to find it in another town or city close to you? I hope this is helpful. Bansah1

2-3 days is way better than 2 weeks. The sooner you can get it, the better, so you don’t go many days or weeks without it. A day or 2 is okay, you don’t want to miss it for a longer period. Best, Bansah1

It is definitely still worthwhile to take the medication. Resistance to tenofovir is extremely rare, and I don’t think has been described in the literature. People are restarted on tenofovir after long periods of cessation (even up to months and years), and it is still effective.

It is not likely that you have done permanent damage, but this should be checked by your doctor. Antivirals are likely still effective despite this pause.

setelah hasil test hbv dna pertama keluar waktu usia kehamilan 6 bulan saya di minta untuk minum obat oleh dokter , setelah melahirkan saya lembih memilih mandiri membeli obat nya sendiri karena penyedia layanan yang sangat antri dan berbelit , sampai sekarang saya tidak mengalami keluhan apapun dok 
hanya saja syaa khawatir setelah libur minum obat , dan sekarang sudah tidak libur lagi​:folded_hands:
Hi @Helmy, I completely understand why you would be worried, but if you are back on antivirals your viral load should come back down and you will be preventing any progression of liver damage caused by Hep B. Have you had additional tests after you have restarted yet?

saya tidak pernah lagi datang ke rumah sakit, terakhir setelah test hbv dna saya keluar dan dokter memberi obat tdf dan seumur hidup
saya memilih membeli mandiri , karena proses asuransi yang sangat rumit ..
sudah 1 tahun saya meminum obat , dan beberapa hari terakhir telat membeli 2 minggu . setelah nya saya meminum seperti biasa tanpa ada keluhan apapun
namun saya khawatir sekali akan ada efek negatif karena libur 2 minggu​:folded_hands:
Hi @Helmy, 2 weeks is a relatively short time to be off treatment. It is not likely that severe liver injury has occurred, but you should discuss this with your health professional to get peace of mind. By restarting antiviral therapy, you are reducing your risk of any damage in the future.
