Large-HBsAg Vaccine for Escaped mutated HepB

Regarding immune or vaccine escaped mutated HepB and transmission. My understanding is that a broader protection of the HepB virus antigen type vaccine was available but discontinued: Sci-B-Vac (PreHevBrio). Is there something similar to this type of broader hepb antigen coverage vaccine available now and administered? Is Heplisav-B considered close alternative to discontinued PreHevBrio that’s available to anyone now?
If so, someone with hbs antibody be vaccinated with Heplisav-B to provide additional protection from the mutated HepB virus subtypes?

Hi @TomPsu,

I am not sure that vaccine escape mutants are common enough to actually test the efficacy of this vaccine. Therefore, it would be difficult to build a business case for this given the ubiquity and known safety profile of the current HBV vaccine.
