Lab result clarification

I hope each and every one of y’all doing okay in here. Just for a little motivation. We all got this n we all are strong individuals. Now I need some help . Can any of our esteemed experts help me figure out what these in specific mean? I won’t be seeing my doctor for maybe a few weeks and I’m just curious . Now for reference my hbv dna measured a few weeks ago came out to be 2420. Now my questions

  1. Is my liver at the very least okay or do i need more testing

  2. That says HCV does that matter or does it apply to HBV as well

  3. Is the Hbeag being negative important?

  4. Based on this where would you classify my hbv.

I know all this can be properly answered by my doctor but i just need a few insights from you lovely individual so i can start thinking about if i need to or not need to get on treatment. Thank you so much

Hi @ilovejameshetfield,
Based on your results, yes, your liver seems to be fine, as indicated by the F1-F2 FibroScan score; ALT/AST are normal, and your viral load is just above the 2000 mark. Maybe consider an imaging of your liver if you have not already done so. Otherwise, I recommend continued monitoring.

HCV is different from HBV, but both viruses can cause serious liver issues, so it’s good to double-check your HCV and HDV status. If positive for HCV, there is a cure, which is about 8 weeks of treatment . And yes, HBeAg negative indicates that there is no ongoing viral replication and you are less infectious, which is good. It is fair to say your HBV is controlled; however, I still recommend that you remain in care. It is crucial.

I hope this is helpful. Bansah1

hey i really appreciate the thoughtful response. I did test for HCV n HDV . thankfully i tested negative for those. And i’m happy from what I have so far, liver seems to be okay.I will do imaging just to make sure and I will keep getting my bloodwork done. Lowkey sorta happy since this is somehow the better case scenario(or so I think). I just hope it doesn’t flare up since it’s looking like I probably wont be put on treatment. But i’ll get more clarification from my doctors in a few weeks. I really appreciate you taking time to respond to this again

Glad to hear that your HCV and HDV tests were negative and that your liver assessment looks reassuring. It’s good that you’re planning to continue monitoring and discuss everything with your doctor. Wishing you stable results and good health.
