Hi, I’m 46 and supposed to be “inactive carrier” since April. No idea when I got it but fortunately I have no signs at all. No treatment since Blood tests(ALT,AST normal) PCR DNA <150 IU/ml , fibroscan 5.6 kPa. No alchohol since the moment I became aware of my status. The only thing I would like to know whether it is safe to take Sildenafil or some equivalents from time to time?
Hi @Yevhen,
Welcome to the community and thanks for your question. I doubt this medicine could have any effect on your HBV, but please have a conversation with your doctor further about this. Best, Bansah1.
Thanks for your question, @Yevhen. Perhaps some @PharmacyExperts could provide some insight into sildenafil and any impacts on the liver or Hep B meds.

Hi all,
I don’t know anything about how it interacts with HBV medications, but I would be quite surprised if intermittent use caused any problems because they work by vastly different mechanisms and are chemically very different. However, this is a question best asked of your physician as I’m a PhD virologist, not a medical doctor.
I wish you the best,
John.
Thanks for your replies. Best wishes to everyone!
