Interpretation of lab results

Hi everyone, please am new to this wonderful community. Thank you for the great work you are doing. I now have a group of like minded to help me on this journey.
I am 31 years old and I first discovered that I have Hep B when I was in high school ( 15 years ago). Until recently I decided to pay attention to it.
I went for labs and this is my results:
Hep B Profile
HBsAg - positive
HBsAb - negative
HBeAb - positive
HBeAg - negative
HBcAb - positive

Liver Function
Albumin - 4.1
Globulin - 2.5
AST - 26
ALT - 24
GGT - 18
Total Bilirubin - 2.1
A/G - 1.5
AST/ALT - 1
AFP - 3.8 IU/mL
HBV load - 49,900 iU/mL
Liver ultrasound: Echogenic liver with thickened gallbladder wall - DDx: Acute hepatitis.

My lever function and kidney function is very good

My viral load is 6523776 copies iu/ml
Please suggest treatment required

Hi @Dr_Himmat_Sarvaiya,
Welcome to the community. Even though your liver function (panel) and kidney results are very good, your viral load is very high. I will certainly be having a conversation with my doctor about treatment. Because the higher the viral load, the more likely liver damage is to occur, so treatment is the best way forward. I hope this is helpful. Bansah1

Hi @Xammy,
Welcome to the community. Your test indicates that you have HBV with low viral replication. With that said, your viral load is high. Please have a conversation with a liver specialist, as treatment might be an option here even though your ALT/AST are in a normal range. The high viral load could be causing damage to your liver. Make an appointment with a liver doctor or specialist, so he or she can help design a care plan for your situation. Thanks, Bansah1

Hello lovely family, hopefully everyone of us here is moving on well so far.
Glad to post and inform the team of my recent test this 29th/5/2025.
Kindly get time and interpret for me this results.

My viral load dropped from 1660 iu/ml to 306 iu/ml

Just forgot to say how am not yet on medication.

Dear @opa,

Great to hear from you. Indeed your tests suggest that there is little inflammation in your liver and the low viral load you describe is associate with good prognosis and low progression of liver disease.

Hope this helps,
Thomas

Thanks @Thomas Tu .
Though much scared of the little inflammation stated. Cirrhosis, liver cancer and inflammation of my liver are words I never wished to hear ever since I got diagnosed and learnt of this monster.
Depression has become my daily meal. Anyway I ought to accept this reality.
My Concern now.

  1. Can this information be corrected?.
  2. What could have caused it this fast?
  3. Is it the cause of the terrible abdominal pains am experiencing?
  4. Do i already have a liver disease?
    YOUR RESPONSES HIGHLY APPRECIATED

Dear @Opa,

I’m not sure I completely understand. Do you have evidence of cirrhosis and inflammation? What tests have you undergone to understand your liver health other than the liver function tests? Have you had an ultrasound and fibroscan? Without these results, it is very difficult to provide you with any accurate information.
