Inconsistent Results - MRI/Ultrasound/Fibroscan

Hello. Hoping this is in the right forum. Just wanted to see if anyone else has had the same/a similar experience. I am a chronic hep B patient since birth, 38 years old and have been on tenofovir for around 10 years. most recently, my bloodshave been what the doctor has called normal, undetectable viral load for example, 17 ALT. I’ve had an MRI and ultrasound and both did not pick up any issues however the fibroscan result (I can’t remember the number as I was pretty shocked) picked up scarring and was quite high. The doctor is quite confused as he said the Fibroscan result doesn’t make sense taking into account my bloods and other scans and that the ultrasound and MRI would have picked up an issue if there is one. He has ordered another Fibroscan to check again - he seemed to think the first one was an incorrect result but it’s still pretty worrying. Has anyone got any advice or has been through a similar situation? Could the fibroscan be wrong or could there be an explanation for the inconsistency? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Hello

The FibroScan could be inaccurate -due to operator (person performing the test experience), and also if you had recently eaten (should fast for 3 hours before the test). I agree to repeat the test, also do US with “Shear Wave Elastography” or an MRI with “elastography”.
