Hello My fellow yellow warriors

Hello everyone, thank you for accepting me to this forum. I am Carl from the Philippines and I just got diagnosed with chronic hepatitis b last June my hbsag is positive but my HBV DNA is negative the doctor did not give me any medication. And now I got hired for warehouse/logistics worker for Lithuania, May I ask if the Lithuanian migration impose a blanket ban on hepatitis b or I am be able to work there even if I have hepatitis B, I hope to answer this question so that I can proceed to my medical exam. since I am the one who obligates to pay, your response is appreciated so that I don’t waste my money for the medical test. Thank you in advance for the reply.

Welcome @Carl23

Unfortunately I can’t answer that question correctly.
In Australia and USA there are discrimination laws against HBV.
I suggest you look up immigration in Lithuania.
Sorry I can’t be more helpful.
Are you being monitored by Doctors?
Getting regular tests?

Thanks for your reply. My next check up is on January. As of now my hbv dna is below threshold. I just hope my employer will consider my health status.

Hi @Carl23,

I’m not sure, but perhaps if you reach out to a local hepatitis group, they could provide more information. Infectious Diseases Patients Association LIDPA - World Hepatitis Alliance

Please report back if you find out any news!

Cheers,
TT
