Hi HepB Community members,
The International Coalition to Eliminate HBV just published 2 papers in Lancet Gastroenterology and Hepatology that lay out the evidence for significantly expanding HBV treatment guidelines worldwide. One paper presents the data from a scientific and medical perspective, and the other is from a patient and public health perspective. These papers took almost 2 years for us to write, so I’m delighted to see that they are finally available for everyone to read.
The goal of these articles is to introduce data that are not traditionally considered when developing HBV treatment guidelines into the ongoing conversation about who should be eligible for treatment.
The articles are written for the medical and scientific community, but should be understandable to many members of this forum. They are free for 50 days at the following links.

Patient and public health perspectives to inform expansion of hepatitis B treatment guidelines - https://authors.elsevier.com/a/1lUF78nByrGVzC
Hopefully, they will help advance the conversation around expanding the treatment guidelines and lead to the ability to treat many more people living with HBV.
