AHSM is offering Community and Lived Experience Scholarships for those wishing to attend the conference.
To be eligible for the scholarship, you:
Are willing to attend the conference in person from 6 to 8 August 2025 in Naarm (Melbourne)
Live in Australia
Have lived experience of hepatitis B and/or hepatitis C and/or be from an affected community or priority population and/or as a volunteer or peer of a non-government community hepatitis and/or peer-based organisation.
This is a great opportunity for Australians affected by hepatitis B to get to know both experts and other community members in the sector. I know some of you have been to this meeting (including our great moderator @Caraline, @lien.tran, @Nafisa.Yussf, @UyenV, @kimbopumpkin, @dtuan81.ad, @tepy and others) and found it really useful.
I’m on the executive organizing committee for this year’s conference and will hopefully make sure that it’ll be an enriching and welcoming experience for members of the affected community.
I also want to emphasise that this scholarship funds:
conference registration;
travel; and
accommodation.
It is intended to support people with hepatitis B (who have may have other jobs) to come to the conference and provide an opportunity to network with others.
We hope you take up this great opportunity to apply and attend!
