Pls house what did you all know about BEPIROVIRSEN… i read on internet that it has ability to cure CHBV … PLS shed light . Thanks

This is an experimental treatment that is currently undergoing clinical stage 3 trials. It seems to help people with lower levels of HBsAg get functional cure and it is believed that it acts in 2 ways: 1) by lowering the amount of virus proteins being produced and 2) activating the immune response.

Is there an update on BEPIROVIRSEN efficiency and use for the treatment of Hepatitis B? Does it cure the virus?

Dear @mic,

Thanks for bringing this up again. Bepirovirsen has been shown to induce HBsAg loss in a subset of patients (in particular, those with lower HBsAg levels). Clinical trials are ongoing to test this in larger groups and under different conditions/combinations.
