Hi HepB Community,
Long time listener, first time caller. I wanted to share the following video which our company has been priviledged to be part of creating:
We fully acknowledge that there is a commercial aim to the video, however, we have done our best to ensure the patient story is captured in the truest form possible. Miracle has shared a really raw and tragic story, that unfortunately is not that uncommon in this disease as you all know. I hope this helps to raise the profile of CHB with the general public and helps to move the needle on research efforts.

Hi @hickeyt,
Welcome to the community, and thanks for sharing this piece with us all. You are correct to mention that Miracle’s story is not that uncommon. Some of us with multiple siblings living with this virus worry all the time about this issue. Great story and work. Thanks, Bansah1
I had HCC stage 2 . Liver resection two yrs ago. I build pilot plant by scale up the process of therapeutic protein and synthetic drug for clinical material . Let me know if I can be of any help .
Thank you for the video. Prof Gane is a very respected figure in the world of clinical trials for HBV treatments. The new treatment I believe is Tune-401. I believe it is used together with a guide gRNA (as in CRISPR-Cas9) to regulate the transcription of the targeted gene. I am not a scientist, so I hope this description is accurate. In my opinion, gene regulation systems are very experimental and will take a long time to become a new effective HBV treatment.
You are absolutely right on all accounts Stephenw, Prof Gane is simply the unrivaled in his knowledge. This is a very novel and experimental treatment, and as discussed at lenght on other threads it is very important to balance the hope with the realistic potential that this may not work. While it does take a frustratingly long time to develop new therapies please understand that this is done for very good reason - so that only safe and effective therapies make it to the public.
