As a football player positive for Hepatitis B, I wish to know if playing football puts my teammates or opponents at risk through body contact

I wish to find out if playing football being hepatitis B positive puts the others at risk.

As long as you are conscious about cleaning any open/bleeding wounds you have and taping them up, the risk is generally low for this sort of transmission. This risk is lower the lower your HBV DNA levels, so if you take antivirals this is likely reduced even more. There is also a responsibility of your teammates and opponents to be vaccinated to protect themselves.

Thank you very much I so much appreciate your response
