So tomorrow is my 6 month check up and it is the first check up that I will be having after my Viral Load Flare up over 6 months ago when my VL reached a level of 57,000 IU. I will get the entire works tomorrow im sure: Ultrasound, Fibroscan, LFTs and Viral Load Test. I was not placed on meds so im sure these results is going to be the determinative factor. Last time although my viral load was up my LFTs, Fibroscan and Ultrasound were all great. I am so terrified that has changed. Like what if my liver is damaged and bad
. Mental health with this condition can sometimes be worse than the disease itself. Yall wish me luck!
Yes the anxiety is real. Take a deep breath knowing you can’t change anything now but there is treatment that isn’t horrible.
Can I ask why they didn’t put you on treatment last time you saw Doctor?
Wishing you the best
Thanks @Caraline! So I wasn’t put on meds right away because my other liver markers were clear. My Doc did not want me to commit to a lifetime of meds if it wasn’t the right time.
Good lucky Girly you got this!
@SheLaw20 I always feel like this too before my appointments and it makes me angry for two reasons: 1) Do doctors realise what they’re doing to us when they give us this diagnosis? I don’t think they do. 2) If this virus is so serious (and I’m not convinced it is anymore), why isn’t there a vaccination campaign for ADULTS against it? There’s so much about this virus and how public health authorities’ treat it that doesn’t make any sense to me.
Hi @SheLaw20,
I hope your check up went OK. Please keep us updated on how you’re going! You’re not alone in this!
Thomas
Omg I forgot to update you guys! My viral load has actually decreased by about 41 percent!!! Not sure why I had the flare maybe stress or all those vitamins I was taking which I immediately stopped! I only take one little one a day vitamin now lol. All other test to include LFTS, Imaging (ultrasound), AFP and others unrelated to Hep B came out PERFECT!!! Doesn’t look like I will be on meds right now!
Hopefully the viral load will keep decreasing. Thanks for checking in! @ThomasTu
No problem, @SheLaw20! You’ll always have people here waiting to support you! Great to hear about your results and the good advice that you’ve been given. Keep it up and hope you’re feeling a bit better.
