Webinar Today (4/15) Nutrition for Hep B with Dr. Jennifer C. Lai

Hello everyone, I’d like to share this great resource. There is a webinar live tonight at 7pm ET with a very knowledgeable hepatologist. It will also be available to watch after.

Medication is just one part of the solution. What else can YOU do to help heal your liver while on treatment? Ask Jennifer C. Lai, UCSF-trained hepatologist and nutrition expert, how an optimal diet and exercise can help reduce inflammation and keep your liver as healthy as possible.”

Hello PrinceFlomo

I had trouble logging onto the talk. Do you know if she recorded it and placed a link to it something.

I’m very much interested in the role of diet and exercise along with prescribed medication.

I believe the participation rate for the general adult population is about 1 out 4 that does some form of exercise. My guess is that the participation rate for chronic sufferers is much lower than that. From personal experience and from what I read, it’s the feeling of tired and fatigue that can prevent the sufferers from doing the exercise. But there could be other reasons e.g access, societal, climate etc. But I believe exercise can be beneficial. Thinking out loud, would the low participation rate be a contributing factor to a low seroconversion rate.

I look at it from the point of view of asymmetry and risk/return. If exercise is beneficial along side diet and medication, at the very least your overall health and liver health will benefit- so that’s the floor. But if there is a option to undergoing treatment, perhaps there is an outlier chance these factors will assist during and post treatment period. That’s the potential asymmetry.

Personally I have done exercise or played sports regularly since I was a kid. I don’t have formal qualifications in this field, but I understand the nuisance.

If you know if she has recorded it and placed a link somewhere. Please let me know, that would be awesome :).

@MikeT I have watched some of the other webinars from this company before. They usually post them on their website after the event, but it can take a few days to a week for it to be available.

Hello et5656
