I recently had my 6 monthly tests and the results are as follows:
ALT: 53, it was 44 in November last year.
Viral load: undetected
HBe Ag - Negative
eGFR 83, was 69 in November
Creatinine 99, was 116 in November
What is worrying me is the high ALT and the result from radiology which said that I have mild increased liver echogenicity, most likely due to fatty infiltration. Focal hyperechoic non-shadowing right hepatic lesion (0.4cm), remains indeterminate and a follow up in 3 - 6 months was recommended. The only significant change I have done since November is the gym. I am now exercising at the gym.
What could be the reason for this?
Hi @Collen,
I can see a small increase in your ALT. This can be due to muscle damage from your exercising. Nothing to worry about, but keep your eye on it. I agree with @Caraline that they can go up and down from time to time. A one-time increase is not a huge problem of concern. But you should get concerned if it remains high for some time. Hello, I recommend you use antiviral pills like Viread 300 mg. I had Alt 54 in January. Now, after using Viread 30 mg, Alt 18 and HBV 70740, which is now undetected.
I am not a physician and cannot give medical advice, but I want to point out that your “viral load undetected” means you do not have detectable HBV DNA in your blood. There is no point to take an antiviral such as Viread if there is no DNA to suppress.
