Must I disclose my status to housemates?

Dear @Jelenar,

Welcome to the community and thanks for your question. I would say that @Bansah1’s advice is good and indeed you should perhaps use this as an opportunity to talk about HBV vaccination.

There are many ways you could have been exposed to HBV any time during your life that would lead to this: scratches during sport, non-sterile medical or dental procedures, etc. It is a condition that is not symptomatic and people can pass it on unknowingly.

As these tests will not tell you when you were exposed (and therefore when you were infectious) it is hard to be completely sure in answering your question, but casual interactions are highly unlikely to pass on the virus.

Hope this helps,
Thomas

Hi Thomas Thank you for replay. When it comes to vaccines, what percentage of infant develop protective antibody. In my country is three doses of euvax B. My niece has been vaccinated that way.

The majority (>90%) of infants will develop a protective level of antibodies after a full vaccination course.

Thank you. But if you can explain me one more thing.
This is my latest result :

It says that i am not protected due to low antibody 7 ml.
Also my hbc total is negative.
This is strange because when i have tested 2 years ago i have positive antibody, 106:

I am not vacinated.
Is it possible that after infection/exposure i dont have enough antibody and negative hbc total?

Hi @Jelenar,

Antibody levels can reduce over time and can be boosted with another HBV vaccine if necessary.
