Hello! I haven’t been there for a long time. I have chronic hepatitis B genotype d. Now my condition is good. 6 months ago I did a fibroscan F-0. I haven’t had time to do it again yet. But I have the results of my tests and an ultrasound. My ultrasound is fine. The viral load is now about 3500 But ALT AST is slightly elevated. Could this be related to the gym. Which I visited 4 days before taking the tests. Before that, I hadn’t been to the gym for 3 years. After the gym, my arms hurt for several days. Could this have raised my results a little? And one more important question. With my hepatitis B and genotype d. Do I have a bad prognosis? Is it really a very aggressive virus? And is it very difficult to treat and control? Will I be able to live with it until old age? I’m 31, I don’t drink. Sometimes I smoke. Doctors have not prescribed any medications yet. Who has genotype d, tell me your story. I feel depressed that I am more vulnerable and will not live long (Thank you
Hi @Berserk123,
Great questions.
ALT can be affected by the gym, though 4 days would probably be a long time for that effect to be affecting the values. I’m not sure, but if it is within normal range, it may not be clinically relevant.
Re: genotypes, Generally the difference between HBV genotypes is not very clearly defined because there are a lot of confounding factors with genotypes (including geography, ethnic background, health care systems, age, family history, upbringing, diet, socioeconomic status, education, etc…). Many of these will have impacts on disease progression and prognosis. None are guaranteed to be aggressive and none specifically prevent you from living to long age. All genotypes respond to antiviral treatment, so this is not an issue.

Thanks for the answer! I wanted to ask one more question. Six months ago and two years before that, my AST ALT level was excellent. But here are the latest Reference range AST 48 H: 10-40 U/L Reference range ALT 64 H: 9-46 U/L Assuming that this is not from the gym. Is this very bad? Does this mean that my liver is bad and affected? Is it possible to return these levels to normal? But I still hope that this is from the gym. I will go to the doctor at the end of the month. I will ask him to take the test again.
Hi @Berserk123,
This is a slight increase above normal ranges and may represent liver inflammation. This is not necessarily life-threatening in the short term as the liver can regrow, but it is worthwhile to see if this is an ongoing trend to determine if you require treatment or other approaches to limit any disease progression.

Hey @Berserk123 — I recently had similar ALT and AST levels in my blood tests. I also read it could be related to the gym because I went to the gym to do weight lifting stuff the day before my test. If you find anything more about your situation I would be interested to get an update from you later!
